By the River

Purple and yellow flowers
Bountiful in the yard
Among pumpkins, tomatoes,
Apples and pears

Capture my view in spite of
Clouds running over California
Hills
How do I not notice
All the other beauty around
Do You?
A fresh air smell of being outside
Listening to a doctor's recommendation
Go outside she said
At least an hour a day
Dr. Dwelle was right
Go outside
Breath fresh air
It is something nice
That the air
Is a blowing wind
From the Pacific
Cleansing, cold, bending all the trees
How that wind does blow
Like any changing time we
Might know?
The warmth of the sun
Suddenly hidden by the clouds
I came in side
To share a moment
Of sun, clouds and sky
Thinking of all
Whose hearts I know
