There was some bad news yesterday. The vitriolic (not all) Republicans and irresponsible press will make this a story forever. Now the President-elect has to dance like Richard Gere in "Chicago." My heart is heavy knowing what grief this may bring to such a good man and hindrance to the important goals he is working so hard to achieve.
CNN's Mr. Gergen lamented how this level of corruption taints all U.S. politicians, our government and certainly our ideals. Rod Blagojevich is a disease for which there is no cure and contamination will be wide spread. The fact that Mr. Obama, our beloved President-elect, is from Illinois will probably make it impossible for him to escape the mindset of guilt by association. I am not too happy today.
I prayed for his election now I am going to pray for him, his family, his aides and his continued success in his efforts to help our troubled nation .
